Birthdays

Alicia is a year old. For her birthday dessert, I made her brownies.
She loved the them! Not much of a surprise though, she loves anything with chocolat.

We celebrated Alicia, Tidji and Gregory's birthday in Saules today.

Valentines Day

When I came home from work on Wednesday, Brandon told me he wanted to make a Valentines card for a girl at school that he thought was really beautiful. (I'm not exactly sure what suddenly made him think this because he didn't even invite her to his birthday). Here is the card he made.

Judo competition

Brandon had his first judo competition yesterday. You normally have to be 8 years old but his club organised a regional friendly competition (there were no real winner, everyone came home with a new water bottle)

They seperated everyone by belt, then age, then weight. There were 4 children in each group and therefore 3 fights to do.

Almost a year old
Alicia trying out her birthday present from Grandma and Grandpa that arrived early. She can't wait for them to come and take her for a ride with the bicycles.

McDonald's and playing at the parc

This weekend we celebrated Brandon's birthday at McDonald's with his friends.

They played different games like trying to see who could build the tallest castle with cups,

and pass the parcel

Ate hamburgers and fries.

And had a chocolate birthday cake.

Here's the group picture. We thought this was the easiest birthday yet. Hardly anything to organise and especially nothing to clean up afterwards.

New photographer

Bandon decided he wanted to take some pictures for you this week. Here are a couple of the pictures and a video. Now that he has his own camera you might get to see more and more pictures taken by him.He did a drawing and then took a picture of it.

He took 5 videos of himself. He spoke in English in all of them so that he could choose which one was to go on the blog. Sorry Margot, I think he needs singing lessons.

Since there is not much snow around, we decided to start training for the Tour du Canton runs that are in a couple of months. I motivated Brandon by letting him wear my Garmin GPS watch so he could see how fast he was running. When I said go, he was off faster than a speeing bullet, wanting to beat me the whole way. We ran 2Km yesterday and 2Km today.

Alicia tried her first croissant today. Here she is eating pieces of croissant and orange.
