8 years old

Brandon turned 8 this week. Here he is talking to Grandma who called to which him a happy birthday.

Instead of a traditional cake, we had a chocolate fondue with the chocolate fountain I bought.

Alicia liked just putting her spoon to get the chocolate without any fruit!

Brandon before his weekly riding lesson wearing the new boots Grandma and Grandpa gave him.

I couldn't get any good pictures of Brandon riding. They all turned out blurry and then I ran out of batteries. I will try again next week.

A couple more pictures

After not having seen the sun for 2 weeks (or at least I hadn't seen it, Hervé has seen it everyday since he now works in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Since the snow storm on New Year's there has only been fog down here), we decided to go sledding at La Tourne.
Alicia got her long underwear on.

But hated every minute up there.

She cried almost the whole time. She hates snow! She doesn't want to stand in it or touch it. (Maybe our next house should be in the tropics).

Brandon thought it was lots up fun. You can see him here pushing his sled up the hill.

The view of the Alps was so beautiful from up there (Notice the white carpet of fog below).

Snow and aquarium

On New Year's Eve it started to snow. Boy did it snow. Huge flakes came down from the sky all day.
The snow blower weren't prepared and there were accidents everywhere. (Nor was anyone on our street. Hardly anyone had a shovel!) We were wondering whether we were going to have to cancel the party.

But as you saw from Zoraima's blog the had a great party. The snow turned to ice over night and still hasn't melted yet.

Had to publish a picture of the new aquarium.

Christmas

Christmas Eve dinner at Zoraïma's Conversation between Robert and Jean-LouisZo (a little out of focus, but lovely as usually).

Mahé walking on the presents.

Brandon helping Alicia open a present.

Alicia pushing around her new stroller.

A lot of concentration is needed for this.

A video of Brandon singing his Christmas song. A little dark, but you can hear the sound.
Christmas morning. Wearing her piglet pyjama's and sleeper Grandma gave her.

Giving her new doll a kiss.

Brandon and Daddy playing with the race track.

Nice day to play outside

We had great weather the first couple of days after the move. Here are some pictures of the mountains from the kitchen window.
Playing outside on the swings in the backyardA view of the house.
Mommy and Alicia on the slide

A couple of losses during the move

Not everyone was happy about the move. We had 3 fish die and both birds (they died one day apart from each other and each time it was a big heart breaker for Brandon). In order to avoid a huge drama, we replaced the birds as fast as possible.
They are both doing fine and seem to like their new home.

Finally an internet connection

After having to spend hours on the phone with the phone company our internet connection finally works. Not sure why it was so hard to set up.
I have lots of pictures to post of the past couple of weeks.
The truck we rented for the move. It took us 5 full truck loads to move everything.
Everything stacked up in the livign room.

Taking apart the water bed.

Brandon helping carry things out to the truck. He used Alicia's stroller to help him carry things.

Passing the things to Hervé to put in the truck.

Stacking them up nicely in the truck.
Back to the house for another load.
