Visiting Daryl and Jane

We had a great time visiting Jane and Daryl. They have renovated the house so nicely. Even with jet lag we managed a couple of card games. We can't wait to come back and visit again. Jane took us to the local park.
When Alicia saw the little kiddie pool she just had to get in to cool off.

We then watched the HUGE boats go up and down the locks in the canal

There were quite a few boats to watch.

Of course we just had to visit the falls while we were there. The falls are Hervé's favorite Canadian attraction.

The weather was beautiful (last time we were at this very spot in front of the casino it was snowing and it was only October).

We went to Grandma's to see how the house was coming along. (Not very fast I have to say, seems like it takes less time to build a new one). While we were there we picked the raspberries in the garden.

Brandon had lots of fun while at the cottage with Grandma and Grandpa He told everyone at school he was going to Canada and his Grandpa was going to teach him to fish.

As I understand it, fishing was the main activity. Sometimes they even fished several times a day.

They even caught a large mouth bass.
Dog walking was also one of Brandon's favorite activities.



Brandon represented the family at Joshua's 2nd birthday party and got to meet his new cousin Ella for the first time.Here's the birthday boy checking out his cake.

Brandon left for Canada today

Brandon was all excited to be leaving by himself on the plane for the first time.
Hervé and I were choking back tears as he did up his seat belt and they wized him away. He suddenly looked so small to be travelling by himself.
We waited on the roof of the airport (in the rain) to watch the plane take off.

We had a couple of nice sunny days this week. So, we were off to the pool Alicia of course had to bring Piglet to show him the pool.
