To make the end of the lot a bit flatter and easier to look after, we had a wall of huge rocks built.

This is an impressive wall. Did you have to get permission from the town or county to build the wall and the pool?
Normally we were supposed to get permission for both however we only did for the pool and asked the neighbours for the wall (since behind and beside belong to them).
