It has been very cold out the past couple of weeks. For the first time since I have been here, the lake at La Tène froze over enough so that people could walk or skate on it.
The parking lot was full, it was almost hard to find a place to park. Everyone wanted to test the ice.
We went to go check it out. The lake is not very deep here. You can see the sand underneath. It must only be about 20 cm deep.
Alicia was better dressed than I was. I couldn't feel my fingers after awhile.
Brandon was first in another swimming competition 2 weeks ago. Here he is on the podium.

Hmm. We have a "time travel race" shaping up here.
Grandma and I may still be around for the Brazil Olympics in 2016. Can Brandon be ready in time?
2020 may be too late. :-(
We took the meteo tour of Switzerland by web cab today. Still foggy low down in Neuchatel but sunny above Neuchatel. St. Mortitz was beautiful with sunny snow covered slopes, but the slopes were empty. Just because it's - 25C there today. Wimps!
Of course, the beaches are empty in New Smyrna today in the frigid + 10 C weather. Snow birds and Floridians are really wimps!
There were lots of people skating on the ice. We don't have skates.
We keep telling Brandon to train for the Brazil olympics however I'm not sure he will have the minimum age required. It seems tat each dicipline has a different minimum age. I've seen 15 and 16 for swimming. You might need to hold out till 2020.
Hmm. I guess it is still very cold out.
